Patient Story
A Comfortable and Memorable Birth
Story: 'I was very anxious about the pain of childbirth. From the moment I met my anesthesiologist at KMC, I felt reassured. He took the time to explain the entire epidural process and answered all my questions. During labor, the team was incredibly attentive and managed my pain perfectly. I was able to be fully present, comfortable, and focused on the arrival of my daughter. It made my birth experience everything I hoped it would be.' – Maya T., Beirut
Common Questions
1. What is the difference between the anesthesiologist and the surgeon during my operation?
o Your surgeon is focused on performing the procedure itself. Your anesthesiologist has a different, equally critical role: they are responsible for your overall well-being during the surgery. This includes keeping you free of pain, managing your vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, breathing), and ensuring your safe recovery from anesthesia.
2. Is anesthesia safe?
o Modern anesthesia is very safe. At KMC, your safety is our highest priority. Before your procedure, your anesthesiologist will thoroughly review your medical history to create a personalized plan. During the procedure, we use advanced technology to monitor you continuously. Our highly trained team is prepared to manage your care every step of the way, making anesthesia safer than ever before.
