Patients may receive visitors during visiting hours in accordance with visiting rules, and telephone calls at reasonable hours. They may also choose to decline having visitors.
Visiting Hours
- Medical Department: 11:00 – 13:00 and 15:30 – 19:30
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU): 11:30 – 12:00 and 16:30 – 17:30
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): All day, for parents only
Number of Visitors
- Shared Rooms: Max 2 visitors (including a parent) at a time
- Private Rooms: Max 4 visitors (including a parent) at a time
- ICU: 1 visitor at a time (must follow isolation precautions)
- Emergency Room: 1 visitor per patient at a time
- Outpatient Clinics: Up to 2 visitors (including siblings/minors); children under 12 must be supervised
- Radiology, ORs, Procedural Areas: Visitors not permitted inside exam/procedure rooms for safety reasons
General Conduct
- Visitors must remain calm and respectful toward patients, staff, and others at all times
- Security may be notified by nursing staff in cases of chaos or disrespect
Outside Visiting Hours
- Every patient is allowed 1 visitor at all times
- First-class patients may have 2 visitors at all times
Overnight Stay
- 1 adult companion may stay overnight with any patient
- Pediatric Unit: 1 parent or a close family member designated by parents (e.g., grandmother)
- Private Rooms: Up to 2 parents may stay overnight (space permitting)
- In shared rooms, overnight companions depend on the patient’s gender (flexible in private rooms)
Children Under 12
- Not permitted to visit inpatients, except mothers in maternity unit (1-hour visit only)
- In exceptional cases, a one-time visit may be approved by the attending physician in coordination with CMO, Infection Control, and Administration
Special Cases – Companion May Be Required
- Patients with dementia/disorientation
- Terminally ill patients
- Unstable or critical medical status
- Patients needing translation for foreign languages
- Patients with psychiatric or behavioral complaints
Important Family & Visitor Information
- Respectful and courteous behavior is required from all visitors
- Visits may be limited/restricted based on patient condition, request, or legal order
- No visitors allowed in CCI inpatient facility after 8:00 PM
- Visitors should not stay more than 15 minutes in a patient’s room unless otherwise permitted
- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
- Visitors may not sit on patient beds
- No hallway gathering to maintain privacy and comfort
- Visitors showing symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat) should not visit
- All visitors must sanitize hands when entering/exiting a patient’s room
- All isolation precautions must be followed
Food, Items, and Hospital Property
- No food or electrical appliances may be brought to patients without hospital approval
- Physician or dietitian approval is needed for outside food based on patient dietary needs
- 'No Visitors Please' sign will be displayed upon patient request
- Plants, fresh flowers, and floral arrangements must be left at the main entrance with Customer Service Officers
- Balloons may be placed outside the patient's room
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of KMC
